Well pressure tank losing pressure??

Tank is pretty new WellMate WM14-WB. Recently, the pump seems to come on every 10-15 minutes. It pressurizes to 50PSi & then cuts out. I can watch the pressure on the gauge drop. I am unable to locate an leaks or drips in the system, nothing. Could the water be back flowing back into the well?

Pressure in the house is fine but it is wasting electricity, & I'd have to think that it is shortening the life of my pump.

Thoughts??


Shut the main house valve off- should be close to the tank. Watch the gauge and if it continues to drop, the pressure loss is probably underground or down the well.
