Caulking Didn't Work-Why?

Hi, I just recaulked around the bathtub where the wall meets the tub. I removed the old caulk, cleaned well, and applied new caulk. I used DAP brand from Home Depot. I then waited a day and a half for setting/curing. After I used the shower for the first time since recaulking, I found that the caulk started to wrinkle up. What happened? How do I do this right? It is my only shower so I have to seal this fast because I shower twice a day and don't want water damage.

Suggest you try silicone based tub caulking as it is far longer lasting, more mildew resistant and has a lower failure rate.Procedure for use is basically the same.Yes the surfaces need to be very very cvlean and dry. Some people use alcohol as a cleaner.Since you use the shower heavily silicone will be a better bet for you.
