New Moen shower valve

I installed a new Moen shower valve (one of the single knob models)- When I turn it on- it gets cold one way but not as hot as the other showers and sinks in the house. I was reading and I guess there is some sort of temp piece that gets installed- Anyone know what the purpose of that is and how to adjust it? I can't find much on the Moen site


the temp piece is most likely the limit stop to make sure the elderly and young can not scald themselves. the instructions should tell you how to adjust it and if not then you can call 1-800-buy-moen. they should be able to help you
